K P MEMORY BOX

A Special Group

K P Memory Box is a place for the Kent Police family to reminisce  about their time involved with Kent County Constabulary, later known as Kent Police.  The principle behind this site it to record the history of the Force, to record events, and to jog memories of the good and the bad times of being a police officer and/or a member of the police family.

A MESSAGE ABOUT THIS WEBSITE

Welcome to the K P Memory Box. We are gathering together a collection of history of the Constabulary,  details of colleagues and family members, including photographs, records and memoirs which would otherwise be lost through the passage of time.
Our focus is always giving back to the policing family, and we’re constantly looking for new and meaningful ways to do so. Take a moment to explore our website to learn more about us.

Keith Biddle OBE

Introduction

by Keith Biddle OBE, ACC Kent County Constabulary 1987 - 1994

Viewing this website, it is most likely you are doing so as a member of the Kent Police Family.  Policing is unique in the bond it builds between colleagues, due to the nature of the work undertaken and the premise of colleagues looking after each other.

During your time serving the public, you will have experienced many things which many would not have dreamed possible. The nature of “the job” builds many memories, many good and some which you might rather forget. The Police Family has always been there to support you through both the good and the bad times.

This website has no official links to Kent Police, it has been built and presented by three of our retired colleagues as a place where those memories made whilst serving the public can be shared. The website is also a showcase for the history of Kent Police and memories of those who proudly make up the Kent Police Family.

It is an excellent place to reminisce, share photographs and to preserve our police heritage for years to come.

I wholeheartedly endorse the sentiments behind the development of the website and encourage members of the Kent Police Family to share in the experience.
